Your First Visit

At your first visit to the practice please arrive in good time, we ask you to complete a simple medical history questionnaire which takes a few minutes.

Initially we will see you for half an hour when we will first discuss your wants and needs, dental history and any concerns you might have about your teeth or any future treatment. The purpose of this visit is to get to know you, listen to what you have to say and to examine your teeth and gums thoroughly. This will usually involve taking two or more x rays and making a gum pocket chart. If your teeth are in perfect condition we will arrange to send a reminder to book a check up in 6 months. If you do need treatment, we will have a chat about what you might need and decide with you about any treatment choices. We will then give you a quote for your treatment.

Our aim is to prevent future problems do we offer preventive advice and help you to have teeth you can be proud of, trouble free, clean and healthy and good to look at. Sometimes this comes naturally sometimes we need to give nature a little help.

Do ask at the start if you have any questions, concerns or wishes. The only silly question is the one you don’t ask.
